First whisky memory
It was during my freshmen year in university where we had freshmen party bashes; the year where the girls had turned 18 and were of legal age to drink. Of course, I didn’t have my whisky straight, I had whisky-green tea – something that was easier to take when I had barely started drinking!
Favourite whisky-drinking music
I love to drink with a live band and music in the background. It allows me to relax and just enjoy that moment.
Best box set
I have just finished Emily in Paris (both Seasons 1 & 2) in one go. I guess I feel a kind of resonance with Emily, as I am also a foreigner working alone in an exciting job in Tokyo.
Fantasy whisky tasting companions That would definitely be friends and good music! It makes a world of difference! I don’t usually drink alone, so drinking with a pal is important to me.
Most memorable dram Cask No. 37.109: Calm and relaxing was the first Society dram that I had in Japan, at one of our partner bars.
Most used emoji 😂
Guilty pleasure Sleeping in for up to 18 hours on days I have no work? 😂
Dream destination Norway! I would really love to see the northern lights!
Strangest food
Yakisoba bread. It’s this bread in Japan where they use fried noodles as the filling.
Favourite bar Bar & Lounge Majestic. I love the view of Tokyo Tower from the bar.
If you were a flavour profile, what would you be, and why? Sweet, Fruity & Mellow – that’s how I would like my life to be like, sweet and peaceful!
